Weekly News Broadcast- Feb.27th

Thank you to all of our viewers out there who have left comments. The students are enjoying creating their reports with an audience in mind.

Also, check out our new standards-based board in the hallway behind Mrs.Lopez-Sinclair's and Ms.Launey's Classrooms. You will find an inside look at the creation of the Four Corners News and a spotlight of each of last week's reporters.

(Make sure you let the video load before your start it. Otherwise, there will be a lot of skipping.)

Very Interesting stuff they are learning. I especially liked the generic Rectangle. The students did a very nice job on the whole production.

I loved the "Kids of the Future" for the closing song! It rounded out my weekend; the same song opened the dance at the Formal Five on Friday night!

I wish I could go back to my childhood and learn math the way you guys are being taught. I don't recall ever learning about a "generic rectangle."

Congratulations on your broadcast!
Bravo!!

I am feeling more hopeful that these kids of the future are being prepared for their future in our world. The visuals for the math strategies were awesome. A sneak peak of the lunch peer tutoring was fabulous. Everyone was working and helping each other.
I am looking forward to the next broadcast. Thank you for all the hard work in putting this broadcast together by drafting editing, then publishing.

What a great school Chets Creek is & what great teachers you have to allow you the experience of creating a broadcast each week. It's an awesome way for your parents to get a front row seat into your classroom & what you are learning. I was excited to see the generic rectangle & hear an example of a Tonka poem. Fantastic job!!

Very good information in your blog. The students are learning a lot of interesting things, like there are over 300 bones in a baby and 206 in an adult. Good Job Kids!!!
