Lady Liberty Live

Lady Liberty Day was a huge success! Our students enjoyed and participated in a 4th Grade Field Study of FREEDOM, OPPORTUNITY, and CHOICE- everything Lady Liberty stands for! Enjoy our special photgraphs taken with her.

Morgan told me that the Statue of Liberty plus her pedestal is 305 feet tall and was given to us from Paris. I'm glad she learned this history. Great picture with Lady Liberty.

I have been to the Statue of Liberty, but I learned more from this first person Lady Liberty story-telling than I did from actually being there. I highly recommend this engaging, and educational presentation. My students are still talking about it! After the presentation, they loved their day of freedom, choice, and opportunity. With their self-created schedule in hand, they traveled independently to each of the four stations they chose. My students said that this "in-school" field study was their favorite of the year!
